Who is a mobile app for?
A mobile app earns its place when the people using it are on their feet, out of the office or reaching for their phone anyway.
- Businesses with staff in the field: photos, checklists, signatures and job updates from a phone.
- Businesses whose customers book, order or check in on the go and expect a notification when something changes.
- Founders whose product depends on the phone itself: the camera, location, contacts or push notifications.
- Companies with a web app that now needs a native companion for their team or their customers.
What kinds of mobile apps do we build?
Every app comes with the API behind it, so your data lives in your own system and the app is simply the way people reach it.
Field and job apps
Staff see their jobs for the day, capture photos and signatures, tick off checklists and update status, with the office seeing it live.
Customer apps
Bookings, orders, loyalty and account details, with push notifications for the moments that matter.
Internal team apps
Rosters, timesheets, approvals and announcements for a workforce that does not sit at a desk.
Companion apps
A native app beside an existing web platform, sharing one API and one set of accounts.
Product apps for founders
The first version of a consumer or business product, built to be submitted to both stores and improved from real use.
Why React Native?
React Native builds a real iOS app and a real Android app from one codebase. You pay for one build and one set of fixes, both stores are covered from day one, and the developer who writes the app also writes the API behind it, so nothing falls between two suppliers.
There are projects where a fully native build is the better call: heavy 3D, demanding audio or video processing, or deep use of one platform's features. If yours is one of them we will say so in discovery and point you to the right kind of developer.
What the package covers
- The app for iOS and Android, from one React Native codebase.
- The API and database behind it, built on ASP.NET Core or Next.js with PostgreSQL.
- Push notifications, and the screens and sign-in your written scope describes.
- Apple App Store and Google Play submission, with the developer accounts set up in your name so you own the listings.
- A 30-day warranty from launch, then a care plan if you want one.
How the project runs
A mobile app follows the same five stages as everything we build: discovery that ends in a written scope, wireframes and designs you approve, two-week build sprints with a build you can install on your own phone at the end of each, launch through both app stores with a 30-day warranty, then a care plan. You follow progress, files, messages and invoices in your client portal.
Stage 1
Discovery
We agree what we are building, for whom and why, and write it down.
Stage 2
Design
Every screen is wireframed and designed before any of it is built.
Stage 3
Build in two-week sprints
We build in two-week sprints, and each one ends with a demo of working software.
Stage 4
Launch
We go live on accounts in your name, hand over the documentation and start the 30-day warranty.
Stage 5
Care plan
Offered at launch and running from the end of the 30-day warranty, the care plan keeps the system hosted, secure and improving, month by month.
How much does a mobile app cost?
Mobile apps cost $20,000 to $50,000 ex GST. The range reflects how many screens and flows the app has, whether it works offline, which device features it uses and how much of the backend already exists.
We reply to your enquiry with an estimate range within one business day. Every mobile app is over $10,000, so the project then starts with a paid discovery workshop ($500 to $1,500), credited to the project if it goes ahead. The workshop produces the written scope, and the price is fixed once you sign it.
Integrations with payment, accounting or CRM tools are $1,500 to $5,000 each, and AI features start from $3,000.
What sits where in the $20,000 to $50,000 range?
Example scopes, not past projects
These examples are made up to show what moves a project within its published range. They are not past projects and not quotes: the exact price comes from the written scope.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to build an app in Australia?
With us, $20,000 to $50,000 ex GST for an iOS and Android app from one React Native codebase, including the API, push notifications and the app store submission. The price is fixed in a written scope before work starts. Apps that need offline use, many kinds of user or a large backend sit at the top of the range.
How long does it take to build a mobile app?
Ten to sixteen weeks for most apps, including the store submission. Discovery and design come first, the build runs in two-week sprints with an installable build after each, and the last stretch covers testing on real devices, the store listings and review.
How do you make an app?
In five stages. A discovery workshop turns the idea into a written scope: the one workflow the app exists for, who uses it and what it connects to. Wireframes and designs follow, and you approve them before any code. The build runs in two-week sprints, each ending with a build installed on real phones. Then testing, the app store submissions and launch, with documentation and a 30-day warranty. Our process page walks through each stage; you do not need to know how to code, only how your business works.
Do you build native apps or React Native apps?
React Native, which produces a real native app for each platform from one codebase. It suits almost every business and product app. For the few projects that need a fully native build, such as heavy graphics or specialised media processing, we say so in discovery and point you to the right developer.
Do you handle the app store submission?
Yes. Submission to the Apple App Store and Google Play is part of the package. We set up the developer accounts in your name, prepare the listings and screenshots, respond to review feedback and publish the app. The listings and the accounts stay yours.
Do I need a mobile app, or would a web app do?
Often a web app does the job. If people use it at a desk, or only occasionally on a phone, a web app or an installable progressive web app is cheaper and has no store review. If the app needs the camera, location, push notifications or offline use, or your users expect to find it in a store, build a native app. We will tell you which in the first conversation.
What happens after the app is launched?
Launch comes with a 30-day warranty on what we built, which sits alongside the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit them. From the end of the warranty, the care plan covers hosting for the API, backups, monitoring, security updates, bug fixes and a set number of change hours each month, from $300 a month. New features are scoped and priced in writing.
