Five hours covers a few small changes a month. Move up or down at the end of any month after the third. Month to month after the first three months, so you can stop at the end of any month after the third. Work beyond your hours is quoted in writing first, so the hours never run out without warning. Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.

How our pricing works
- A range first, then a fixed price
- We reply with an estimate range within one business day, then agree a written scope. Once you sign the scope, the price is fixed, and it only changes if you change the scope.
- Nothing under $4,000
- Below that, a freelancer or a template builder is the better choice for you, and we will say so.
- Paid discovery over $10,000
- Web apps, MVPs and mobile apps start with a paid discovery workshop ($500 to $1,500). It is credited to the project if the project goes ahead, and there is no detailed quote before it.
- A deposit, then milestones
- A 30 to 50 percent deposit before work starts, then invoices at design approval, the first working build and launch.
- Net 7 or net 14 terms
- Invoices are due within 7 or 14 days, as set out in your services agreement.
- A care plan at every launch
- Hosting, backups, monitoring, updates, fixes and change hours from $300 a month. It is offered at launch, runs from the end of the 30-day warranty, and is month to month after the first three months.
Frequently asked questions
What do your websites cost?
With us, a small business website costs $4,000 to $8,000 ex GST: 5 to 8 pages on a content management system, mobile-first design, the SEO setup, booking and quote forms, analytics and hosting set up, with a 30-day warranty. More pages, custom design work or integrations such as a booking system move a project towards the top of the range. The price is fixed in the written scope before we start.
What do your web apps, MVPs and mobile apps cost?
Our published ranges, ex GST: a web app or client portal $15,000 to $40,000, an MVP $15,000 to $40,000, and a mobile app for iOS and Android $20,000 to $50,000, each with a written scope and a fixed price. What moves a project within its range is the number of workflows and kinds of user, integrations ($1,500 to $5,000 each) and features such as AI document extraction (from $3,000). After launch, a care plan is $300 to $1,500 a month.
How much is the deposit?
30 to 50 percent of the fixed price, invoiced when you sign the scope and paid before work starts. The exact percentage for your project is set out in the services agreement.
When do I pay the rest?
At three milestones: when you approve the designs, when the first working build is delivered, and at launch. Each milestone invoice is due on net 7 or net 14 terms, whichever your agreement says.
Do your prices include GST?
No. Every price on this page is in Australian dollars and excludes GST, which is added on each invoice.
What happens if I want to change the scope?
Tell us. During the project we price the change in writing before we build it: a small change can fit inside a sprint, a larger one is added to the fixed price and the timeline. The hourly rate is for after launch: change requests outside a care plan, or beyond a plan's monthly hours, are $130 an hour with a two-hour minimum.
What if I am not happy with the work? Do you offer refunds?
The 30-day warranty covers defects in what we built, fixed at no charge for 30 days after launch. It sits alongside the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit them. Before launch, you approve each stage before we move to the next, and every sprint ends with a demo, so problems surface early rather than at the end. Scope changes are priced in writing before they are built, and what happens to a deposit if a project is stopped is set out in the services agreement, so read that before you sign.
What do web developers charge per hour in Australia?
Rates vary widely with experience and with whether a studio or a freelancer is quoting, so compare the written scope and what it includes, not the hourly figure. Our own rate is $130 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and we use it only for change requests after launch outside a care plan, or beyond a plan's monthly hours. The build itself is never billed by the hour: every project is a fixed price on a written scope.
Why do you not take projects under $4,000?
Below $4,000 we cannot do the work the way we do it: a written scope, a senior developer on every project, a warranty and a proper hand-over. A freelancer or a template builder will give you better value at that budget, and we will tell you so.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes, once the scope is signed. The range comes first because a project is not fully known before discovery; the signed scope turns the range into one number, and only a change to the scope changes it.
