Who is a business website for?
A business website is for being found, trusted and contacted. If your customers need to sign in and do things, you need a web app instead, and we will tell you so.
- Trades, clinics, consultancies and other service businesses whose site must turn a visitor into a call, a booking or a quote request.
- Businesses whose current site is slow, dated, hard to edit or invisible in search.
- Businesses whose forms go to spam, or whose bookings still happen by phone tag.
- New businesses that want the foundations right the first time: domain, hosting, analytics and Search Console set up and handed over.
What does a business website from us include?
The design is yours. The engineering underneath is the same on every site, because it is what makes a site fast and findable.
Service pages that answer the question
One page per service, written to answer what the visitor is asking, with a clear next step on every page.
Booking and quote forms that work
Forms reach your inbox, bookings land in your calendar, and spam is filtered before it reaches you.
A content management system
Edit pages, add articles and update prices yourself, without calling a developer.
Search foundations
Titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap and Search Console, set up and verified before launch.
Speed and accessibility
Server-rendered pages, optimised images and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, so the site works for everyone and scores well with Google.
Hosting and analytics
Hosting, SSL and analytics set up in your name, with a 30-day warranty after launch and a care plan if you want one.
What does search-ready mean?
Search-ready means the technical work Google expects is done before launch: every page server-rendered with a unique title and description, structured data for your business and services, a sitemap submitted to Search Console, fast loading on a phone, and accessible markup. It also means pages written to answer the questions customers actually search for.
It does not mean a promise of rankings. Where you rank depends on your content, your reviews and the links to your site over time, and anyone who guarantees a position is guessing. We set the foundations, then show you what to do next: a Google Business Profile, reviews, and articles that answer your customers' questions.
How the project runs
A website runs through a shorter version of the same five stages: a discovery call that ends in a written scope and a page plan, designs you approve, the build with your content loaded, launch on your own domain with a 30-day warranty, then a care plan if you want us to keep it hosted, backed up and updated. Progress, files, messages and invoices sit in your client portal.
Stage 1
Discovery
We agree what we are building, for whom and why, and write it down.
Stage 2
Design
Every screen is wireframed and designed before any of it is built.
Stage 3
Build in two-week sprints
We build in two-week sprints, and each one ends with a demo of working software.
Stage 4
Launch
We go live on accounts in your name, hand over the documentation and start the 30-day warranty.
Stage 5
Care plan
Offered at launch and running from the end of the 30-day warranty, the care plan keeps the system hosted, secure and improving, month by month.
How much does a small business website cost?
Business websites cost $4,000 to $8,000 ex GST for 5 to 8 pages. The range depends on the number of pages, the amount of custom design, whether you need bookings or payments, and how much of the content we write with you.
We reply to your enquiry with an estimate range within one business day. Websites sit under the $10,000 line, so no paid discovery workshop is needed: after a discovery call we send a written scope and a fixed price.
We do not take website projects under $4,000. If your budget is smaller, a freelancer or a template builder will serve you better, and we will say so.
What sits where in the $4,000 to $8,000 range?
Example scopes, not past projects
These examples are made up to show what moves a project within its published range. They are not past projects and not quotes: the exact price comes from the written scope.

Seven pages, a booking or quote form that lands in your inbox, and more custom design across the page types, such as a services section with its own layout.

- Net 7 or net 14 payment terms, set out in the services agreement.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a small business website cost in Australia?
Australian small-business websites typically cost $3,000 to $8,000. Ours cost $4,000 to $8,000 ex GST for 5 to 8 pages, a content management system, forms with spam protection, the SEO setup, analytics, hosting setup and a 30-day warranty, fixed in writing before we start.
How long does it take to build a website?
Three to six weeks from the signed scope. The main variable is content: when the text, photos and logo are ready at the start, the site goes live at the fast end of the range.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Every site comes with a content management system, and we show you how to edit pages, add articles and change prices before we hand over. For anything larger, the care plan includes change hours each month.
Do you do SEO?
We set up the technical foundations: titles, descriptions, structured data, the sitemap, Search Console, speed and accessibility, and we write pages that answer real questions. We do not sell ongoing SEO campaigns and we do not promise rankings. Our insights articles explain what to do next, and we will tell you plainly when something else would help you more.
Who hosts the website after launch?
You do, on accounts in your name, set up as part of the package. If you take a care plan we manage the hosting, SSL, backups, monitoring and updates for you from $300 a month; if not, we hand over the logins and the documentation.
What if I need a web app instead of a website?
Then we will say so in the first conversation. A website informs and converts; a web app does work, where people sign in and data changes. Web apps start from $15,000 and take 6 to 12 weeks.
